WHISPER: NPC DETAILS (MAGRA SEVILLE)
Basics Name: Magra Saint Seville. Nicknames: Magra. Mags. Marg. Species: Metahuman Age: 18-years-old Affiliation: Redbright Institute. Rank: 1, student Club/s: Track and IT. History She didn't know her family when growing up. By the time she was able to form memories, the only one she knew in the world was her guardian Francisco Seville, her grandfather. With her parents, Antoino and Maja Seville, having passed away in an airplane crash when she was just a baby and with no one else to go to, Magra was put into the care of her only living relative despite the fact he was pushing his 60s at the time. It wasn't easy. The two often clashed with each other thanks to their personalities, unaware that she's being watched by her grandmother, Clara Seville, the entire time. The most the ghost could do for her angry grandchild was sing her to sleep though Magra could not hear a tune. Despite a few heated arguments and fights, Magra's life with her grandfather ('lolo!') was relatively normal until she turned around 13-years-old. She began having severe headaches that would come and go as they pleased, never giving her a time to prepare for them. She then had sudden visions of things that would happen ten minutes from now, an hour from now, or even half a day. It disconcerted and confused her and, at first, she was pretty frightened of her powers. She had difficulty controlling them as they kept popping out with her having little say for it and was at the mercy of the visions that left her feeling faint and sick. That didn't stop her though. Magra did her best to bounce back from it, refusing to let it control her life. Soon she gained control of her powers within a year after wrestling with it to the point of exhaustion and she found herself liking her powers. They were interesting and she definitely used them to her advantage: Mainly scamming people in her local park near her lolo's place during the weekends, gambling with cards and peering into the future to see the outcome of the round and adjust her play accordingly. It was through her winning streak that someone from the Redbright Outreach program discovered her and approached her and her lolo one day to reveal the truth to her: She's a metahuman, someone with powers thanks to an 'interference' from something out there, and she was not alone. After some discussion between all three parties, and eventually getting a tour to Redbright itself, it was agreed Magra would head to study and reside in the institute since it would be for the best of her. Her lolo would pass away the time she's around only 16-years-old, effectively leaving the devastated girl an orphan. Much as she clashed with her grandfather and got mad at him for trying to suffocate her, he was her only living relative left and the world felt a bit lonelier. Especially around holidays and her birthday. Life goes on though when you want it to or not. She managed to find some normalcy in Redbright, making friends and finding interests to explore and cultivate. Now at around 18-years-old, she's more or less settled into the life of a metahuman. Even after being kidnapped by vampires in July and having to be rescued from the dangers, Magra is shaken but nor stirred as she nears the near the end of the school year. Personality Aggressively cheerful is the best way to describe Magra. Even in the face of danger she does her best to show a facade of fearlessness because she wants to be seen as anything but weak. Though affable to people there is a sense of distance she gives off when meeting people once or twice of even thrice. With how she didn't have a lot of friends when growing up, she finds it difficult to make a quick connection with new faces and sticks to the people she's become familiar (become safe) with. Nice in a blunt way, Magra has taught herself to be on the defence for most of her life and to keep most people at arm's length to ensure she is not betrayed or hurt. It can be a pain to gain her trust but, to some, worth it in the end. If she does let people into her life and lets herself care for them and she believes they care for her in return, she's one of the most loyal individuals a person could ever meet. Magra is, in her very core, a lonely girl who wants to have a connection since losing her entire family before she turned eighteen and is always by your side as a result of friendship. Magra is wicked sharp and isn't afraid to show it, more than happy to show off her skills if given the chance. She thrives on numbers and coding, taking to programming and computer technology with frightening ease. It gives her comfort, having a semblance of some proper order in her life no matter how much likes things to be exciting or colourful. Knowing she had a point of stability, even if it came from her laptop and typing out some CSS or Java, is soothing to her. She's a proud girl thanks to her upbringing of a stubborn but fair man that was her grandfather. She detests being seen as weak and will refuse to let people bully or push her around since she respects herself too much to be someone's lackey. Magra would never let herself sink low or be forced to go low but she is known go to go above and beyond the call for those she loves. Knowing so few in her life and having even less, all her relationships mean a lot to her since the person had to work hard in getting past her fun loving if difficult exterior and she let them. Though young, Magra has a lot going for her if she makes her choices wisely and is careful of who to trust or not. Which could be trouble since she's only a teenager. Powers As a metahuman of unknown origins, she has no clue if her powers are inherit of from a past witch or a fae or something else altogether, Magra has a special power all to herself. That happens to be the ability to see into the future anytime she wants, no question. When she wants to know of a possible scenario to her current situation or an outcome of a situation she's involved in, she merely glances into the future and sees the results of it. She can use the knowledge as she pleases to either ensure it happens or to prevent it from happening. That's it. No cryptic visions, no strange images or sights-- Just straight up scene of the next part of the play no one is meant to see but she can peer through the curtains without trouble. --Okay. That's not exactly true-true. Naturally there are a lot of stipulations for this powers of hers. While she can use this power willingly these days, it's far too early to really say she has total control over her powers. The furtherest she's ever seen into the future is around a day ahead of her and emerging from that state is often difficult for her to do. The further she looks down, the more and more she becomes disconnected from the world and needs a physical pull or reminder to come back to her state. There's a strong possibility that she can lose herself in her visions forever if not careful. She's vulnerable in this state too, unable to defend herself from danger or even notice it thanks to being so focused on the other side. There's also the fact that seeing an outcome does not equal to it being a sure outcome. She only sees the most likely events and a lot of factors can change it. It forces her to use her powers often to be sure everything is on track if she wants a particular outcome to come to fruition but she needs to be careful. She's frequently bothered by headaches and migraines due to her constant use of her powers and heavily relies on painkillers to soothe the pain to something more manageable. In terms of strength, she isn't all that strong. She's small, around 5'3 and hopefully pushing through despite being eighteen, and while she can pack a punch it doesn't mean she can defend herself in an actual fight. Yet she's fast and smart to make up for it. Quick on her feet, she's known for her speed and outrunning her friends and some adults when challenged to a race. It's something she knows she's good at and is something she is not afraid to use when in trouble. She's a smart cookie, a strong grasp of her math and numbers which is reflected in her computer skills and her advanced knowledge of coding and technology. Magra has a lot of potential in her and it's only a matter of time to see if something comes out of all those what ifs and maybes. NPC account: ![]() |
